A dragon above a city of books
Mia's class used a teacher-approved art space to share their weekend drawings. Mia uploaded a friendly dragon soaring above a city made from books. She had spent hours on every scale, rooftop and tiny window. Mia's friendly leopard gecko, JB, thought it was magnificent.
The comment cloud arrives
Most comments were kind. Then two cruel messages appeared and grey clouds gathered over Mia's picture. Her cheeks burned. She began to type an angry reply. JB gently placed one front foot beside her hand. Mean comments want to pull you into their storm, JB said. Mia paused and deleted the reply.
Save it, then get support
Before blocking the account, Mia saved a copy of the comments. Then she showed Mum. Mum listened first and said, Those comments were not kind, and you did not deserve them. They blocked the account, reported the messages and told Mia's teacher privately.
The storm moves on
The teacher handled the report without starting a public argument. The grey clouds became smaller. Mia looked at her dragon again. One cruel comment had not changed the hours of imagination inside it. She added one final silver star. JB opened the umbrella. Storm plan ready, Mia said.
