This notice explains the limited cookies and technical information used to deliver and protect the Bastionhost website.
THE SHORT VERSION
No optional tracking is currently used.
The site's hosting and security provider may set strictly necessary cookies when they are needed to manage traffic, identify automated requests or remember that a security challenge has been passed. Bastionhost also stores one simple preference when you dismiss the cookie banner.

01
Why there is no Accept or Reject choice
The cookies described here support security, delivery or the cookie-notice preference itself. They are not used for advertising or behavioural tracking. Because no optional cookies are currently used, the banner provides information rather than asking for consent to tracking.
02
Technical traffic information
When you visit, the hosting and security provider processes information such as your IP address, requested page, date and time, browser or request details, routing information and security signals. This is used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, investigate faults and maintain security. It is not used by Bastionhost to build a marketing profile.
03
Storage and international processing
The hosting and security provider retains different operational and security records according to the service being used and its applicable retention settings. Information may be processed outside the UK using appropriate safeguards. Bastionhost does not keep a separate analytics database or export routine visitor logs into a separate archive.
04
Your browser controls
You can remove or block cookies using your browser settings. Blocking a security cookie may cause a security challenge to repeat or prevent a protected page from loading. Removing bh_cookie_notice will make the information banner appear again.
Links to other websites
Some Bastionhost guides link to YouTube, Google, LinkedIn, specialist support services and other independent websites. Showing a link does not allow those services to place cookies through Bastionhost. If you follow one, you leave this site and the destination may receive technical information from your browser or use cookies under its own privacy and cookie notices. Bastionhost does not control those services.
YouTube videos
Bastionhost currently uses external links for YouTube content rather than loading a video player inside its pages. If embedded video is introduced later, the player will remain blocked until you choose to load it. The banner and this notice will be updated before any optional video technology is enabled.
If the site changes, this notice changes first.
Bastionhost will update this notice and introduce an appropriate choice before any non-essential analytics, advertising or marketing technology is enabled. For the wider handling of personal information, read the privacy notice.
